Training and Capacity Building Programmes in the Area of Environment

One of the services that IMPACTO is able to provide to both the public and private sectors is environmental training. The workshops and courses listed below form part of the company’s portfolio:

Some training courses were:

  • Workshop to present the results of the implementation of a training programme for the integrated management of solid waste, held on 29 and 30 October 2003 in Pemba at the request of Swiss Cooperation.
  • Workshop for ANE (National Roads Administration) consultants on environmental aspects in the road sector, held in Nampula on 2 to 4 June 2003 and in Bilene from 9 to 12 June 2003, at the request of ANE.
  • Course in environmental management for the Municipal Development Project, held inBeirafrom 18 to 22 July 2005, at the request of the World Bank
  • Course in environmental management for the Municipal Development Project and the Decentralised Planning and Finances Programme, held inMaputoon 28 and 29 April 2005, at the request of the World Bank.
  • Course on environment and prospecting of hydrocarbons. On request by NORAD
  • Training course for the Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety for the workers of Manica Mozambique Terminals, organised in Maputo City in June 2006, on request by Manica Mozambique Terminals.
  • Introduction course into Occupational Health and Safety for the Trimmers of the Terminais do Norte, organised in Nacala City from 20th to 22nd September 2005, on request by Terminais do Norte.
  • Training on Integrated Pest Management, on request by IRG/USAID.
